Chester Avenue Road Closure - Saturday, October 5

Location: Chester Avenue between MLK Jr. Drive and Stokes Boulevard

Alert in effect: Saturday, October 5 - Saturday, October 5, 2024

On Saturday, October 5, weather permitting, the City of Cleveland will resurface Chester Avenue, between Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Stokes Boulevard, as part of the Circle Square project construction.

This work will require the full closure of Chester Avenue between Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Stokes Boulevard. This work is scheduled to be completed in one day with construction beginning at 7 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m.

The following detours will be in place during the duration of the construction:

• Eastbound Traffic: Vehicles traveling east on Chester Avenue toward MLK Jr. Drive should turn right (south) onto East 105th Street, continuing to Euclid Avenue. From there, traffic will turn left (east) until reaching MLK Jr. Drive.
• Westbound Traffic: At the intersection of Chester Avenue and MLK Jr. Drive, westbound vehicles must turn right (north) onto MLK Jr. Drive. Alternatively, traffic may continue west on Euclid Avenue and turn right (north) at East 105th Street.
• Southbound Traffic: Southbound traffic at the intersection of Chester Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, heading toward Liberty Boulevard, will be directed and maintained by law enforcement.
